Where is your program located?
Structure House is located on 12 beautiful acres of land in Durham, North Carolina, near Duke University and just minutes away from Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

What types of disorders do you treat?
At Structure House, we treat individuals struggling with excess weight and obesity, whether this means 30 or 300 lbs. overweight. We have specialized programming available to those diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and we are one of the only residentially-based weight management programs to offer treatment specifically designed to help individuals with binge eating and emotional overeating. We also assist individuals who are preparing for or have gone through bariatric surgery.

How much will treatment cost?

Does Structure House accept insurance?
Structure House is a private pay facility, however portions of your stay may be covered or reimbursed by your insurance company. As plans vary, we encourage you to consult with your insurance company for specific benefits and talk with one of our enrollment specialists for more information.

Are your staff members licensed?
Yes! All of our staff members are highly trained and are either licensed, certified or hold one or more degrees in the required areas. The average tenure of our clinical team is over ten years. Nowhere will you find a collection of experts as diversified as the Structure House team who have dedicated their lives to helping those struggling with weight loss and healthy living. How long will I need to be in treatment?
We recommend participation in our four-week intensive Foundations Program for all new participations, but your length of stay will directly reflect your own unique needs. Structure House provides treatment to those interested in short term intensive treatment as well as those requiring long term residential treatment to successfully manage their weight.

Will I be required (or permitted) to take medication during my stay?
At Structure House, all medications and their use will be determined on an individual basis, and we will always involve your informed consent.

What types of therapies and programs do you offer?
We are a behavioral treatment program that draws heavily on the scientific literature for the most effective treatment of weight and related conditions. We provide a number of therapies and programs that are offered through workshops, individual and group meetings, and weekly classes. Will I be able to have visitors and/or make phone calls during my stay?
Absolutely! Our fully furnished apartments include a telephone, wireless internet and voicemail options so you can stay connected to loved ones. Structure House has apartments specifically designed for those who want to bring a family member or a pet.

Will my family be involved in my treatment?
At Structure House, we focus on helping you and your loved ones maintain and/or establish strong, lifelong connections that will help support your continued health and happiness. Many participants choose to bring a family member with them to participate in the program to maximize success upon returning home.

Do you offer an aftercare program?
